Instructions for installing a Lambo style door opener:
After you have purchased from us a drawing of the door lifting mechanism, you need to make a part according to it. To do this, you need to turn to a milling machine and a turner who could complete the task.
After manufacturing all the components, you need to prepare the installation site. To do this, you need to remove the front fenders to gain access to the A-pillar. Then, on the A-pillar, select a seat in such a way that:
1. The door was correctly installed, as it could close and in the closed position fit snugly against the seals without distortion.
2. The door could open in a horizontal plane (i.e., as well as before the installation of the mechanism) without deformation and jamming, and also so that when opening it, it would not cling to the car body and interior trim.
3. So that after installing the door lifting mechanism, the rigidity of the body is not lost, otherwise it will be necessary to slightly strengthen the body structure by welding several spacers.
As soon as you have decided on the place of attachment of the mechanism to the door and to the body, you need to assemble the mechanism according to the assembly drawing (included in the delivery set) and accurately outline the place of attachment.
Once you have done this, you need to fix the mechanism to the body and door. This can be done both with bolts and by welding (we recommend using welding). To do this, place the mechanism horizontally at the level of the mounting height on the front pillar, and attach the movable lever to the door. After that, close the door, maintaining it at the desired level. After that, you need to fix the base of the mechanism on the front rack.
Having finished fastening the mechanism, you need to move on to setting it up and fitting it. It is necessary with the help of movable bolts to adjust the opening angle of the door in the horizontal plane. It is also necessary to install 2 powerful gas shock absorbers (with the expectation of a door of 40 kg). The installation location depends only on the prevailing circumstances, but it must be selected in such a way that when the door is fully open vertically upwards, the shock absorbers are not stretched to the stop. And at the same time, the shock absorbers should not interfere with each other during operation.
After installation, adjustment and final tightening of all bolts, it is necessary to put the wings back and check for operability. If it becomes necessary to adjust the work surfaces, it will be necessary to perform this procedure.
